Since Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, I thought it might be fun to think ahead and ask all you LGSG members what you plan to do this fall to Live Green Save Green?  Weigh in with your new (or not new) strategies, and maybe we can all get some ideas.  Me?  I'm putting in programmable thermostats to get ready for cold weather and hopefully hold down heating costs. You?

Community Support

I'm visiting another state, and have noticed quite a few renewable energy and environmental initiatives that seem to be state supported and/or community sponsored.  I'm wondering -- how many of you think that your state and/or city is doing a good job in addressing renewable energy and environmental issues?  If you have done any successful lobbying to bring these issues to the forefront in your area or to save tax dollars with renewable energy, I'd like to hear about that, too. Thanks.

Fuel Saving Tips?

With many of us planning summer car trips and the price of gas still high, I'd like to start a discussion on ways to save or maximize gas mileage.  The best suggestion I have is to change your air filter every 30,000 or so miles to increase efficiency.   Reply to this discussion with your favorite tip.
